Caden McLagan has signed with Icelandic club Íþróttafélagið Grótta. Grótta plays in the 2. deild karla which is the third division in Icelandic soccer.

Caden comes from a family of professional soccer players. Both of his brothers Kyle and Cole have played professionally. Kyle currently plays for Fram Reykjavík in the top professional soccer league in Iceland while Cole played for Sporting KC II before retiring back in December 2022. Their father also played professionally for the KC Comets back in the 1990s and their mother was a part of the Olympic Development Program.

Caden has played for Sunflower State FC for several seasons captaining them for two of those seasons and leading them to an NPSL Playoff appearance in 2022.

Caden was an extremely versatile player. Originally a center midfielder, Caden was moved into center back where his vision and defensive awareness were on true display.

Caden's leadership and drive are just a few of the words to describe his time with Sunflower.

Everyone in the Sunflower State FC family wishes him luck as he begins his professional career!
